Guest guest
Hi PH, I varied them...I did a lot of carrot/apple, but I also did whatever else I could easily juice to get a variety of fruits and vegetables. I used a couple of juicing books for recipes, like Jay Kordich's book Power of Juicing. I did combinations like: spinach/carrots/cabbage carrots/apple/cabbage a V-8 like mix with tomatoes, spinach, parsley, carrot, celery, cucumber and green pepper a lemonade like mix with apples and lemons I did most fruits alone: Pineapple alone Watermelon alone cantaloupe alone grapes alone IT sure was cleansing! Good luck on your fast...when are you starting? Patty > > Hi Patty, > > When you did your two week juice fast, did you vary your juices or > stick with the apple/carrot juice? Guest guest
Thanks, Patty. Well, I had intentions of starting yesterday. I only lasted until 3 pm and then binged on BBQ potato chips. I rationalized that the garlic, tumeric and cayenne spices would make up for the junk in them! Ha! I know I should keep the junk food out of the house when I'm attempting this, yet I don't want to deprive my kids entirely. So I started over this morning and have had carrot/celery/parsley for breakfast and lunch. I don't know how long I will go...as long as I can I suppose. My doc has me doing a series of liver flushes which I think is helping me a lot. Not too much longer, I hope! Hope your classes are going well. Have you found any specific combination that helps with es? I find carrot juice to be helpful... nothing too dramatic, though... Marc uk replies - I found puffing away on a few ciggeretts per day for the last 6 months has given my body something else that overshaadows temporarily the effects of certain local EMFS. In a round about way I guess when I am feeling fit and well I have further to fall when EMF strikes, but smoking has put me completely off par so in effect I have less of a way to fall when I experience ES symptoms, a sort of poisinous diversion therapy. Fotunately I have come to my senses and now am looking to get my strength and energies up where they belong by saying no to the ciggerette, and yes to a few supplements and the usual ES avoidance, which is a lot easier now I am out of work, lets not go there though as Chrismas is coming ! Guest guest
All fresh vegetable and fruit juices are good for Cancer. Celery juice is very alkaline and therefore excellent for cancer. I juice a bunch of celery with two carrots and that gives me about 16 ozs. Cabbage both green and red is excellent high alkaline for Cancer. If you want to sweeten it add an apple of pear. You can even juice Broccoli or Cauliflower. wheat grass is superb. Kale, spinach, parsley, are all good juices for cancer. If you do not like any of those tastes just add an apple or pear or carrot and it improves the taste tremendously. 16 ozs of fresh vegetable juice per day is a great cancer fighter because the juice is loaded with anti oxidants

Guest guest
Best juices for healing cancer: ASPARAGUS, BEET, green leaf, broccoli, org. carrot, cabbage, celery, apple & grapes w/seeds, wheatgrass, lemon and (if not taking any drugs) red grapefruit. Drink juices immediately after pressing them from masticating juicer. Don't drink too much sweet juice at one time.

Guest guest
I just wanted to let you all know of my little " discovery " that many of you likely already know about. I found that juicing greens or beets makes a pungeant juice. With beets, to me it tastes like I've thrown the soil in with the beet juices. So I tried adding lemon juice and it " cleaned " the juice up nicely. Completely took out the pungeant taste and emphasized the sugars in the vegetables. It tasted like the juice was sweeter and made it much more palatable. Before this I really could not drink these juices due to taste. Guest guest
Thanks to everyone who voiced their opinions about our recent hot topic of juicing for health. I hope everyone who sent their ideas has received some benefits from juicing. Jimmy found my juicer and now I will have to go shopping for the fruit and veggies I can eat. He brought home a tray of green grapes, so I should be able to juice those. I made a bread pudding yesterday and put carrots in it. It was delicious. My mother used to hide mashed carrots and turnips in her hamburger meat and everyone loved them. She knew I wouldn't eat those vegetables, but she made sure I got them anyway. Thanks too to our members who introduced themselves and told us a little about their CML experience. It's great knowing they are out there and hope they will post more now that they have broken the ice. I put my name in for an apartment in Houston and they told me today that I was getting close to the top of the list. Some people drop out because the waiting list is supposedly 4 months. Not everyone can wait that long, they have to leave suddenly like I did last time. I had 2 days to get up there. As I said before, we ate and slept our way around Houston. Now we just stick to our favorite places around the medical center. If someone wants to drive us around, they are welcome to come and pick us up. LOL For the first time, I rode one of those electric buggies. I used to whiz up and down the isles and get our shopping done faster, all at Kroger's. They had a bank, pharmacy and a coffee shop. One stop shop was convenient for us. Have a nice weekend everyone. Carpe Diem, Lottie Duthu
