Guest guest
This is nothing new--nice to know the senate is taking an interest--I suspect it's illegal for them to try this with Medicare Part D since it's federally administered. We should keep an eye on this and pressure our senators to prevent this if it goes anywhere. The far more disturbing trend, to my mind, is when pharma pays generic companies NOT to market generic versions of off-patent meds. But lipitor/atorvastatin is so widely prescribed I can't imagine multiple companies won't be jumping into the market in a big way. For my statin & bp meds I've found InternationalDrugMart based in Cyprus offers the best prices on branded as well as generic meds. " (The first article on the left hand side.) http://pubs.aarp.org/aarpbulletin/201201_DC?pg=4#pg4<http://pubs.aarp.org/aarpbulletin/201201_DC?pg=4#pg4> This is a sad state of affairs!!!
