Guest guest
morning all,i had pilates planned but decided to do a long yoga practice instead. i went with sara ivanhoe's yoga on the edge sunrise practice.i have done the sunset(shortest) practice before but haven't done the others. this is a slow flowing practice with no real sun salutations although the moves from the sequence are there it doesn't flow into them. there are lots of balance work standing and very little mat work. this is the dvd where she kind of "made it up as she went" series,so it has a voice over. i noticed in this practice there were a few times it would fade into a new move instead of showing her flowing into it.like one instance we were in triangle and it faded into her in mountain poses. she does give you time and instructs you to catch up to that moment so its not a biggie but for some that could be an issue. in addition to voice over she added music, sounded sanskirt chanting like something shiva rea might have in her videos. in addition this is the longest practice on the dvd at almost an hour. there are no frills to this workout. its shot outside on the beach, no lights no funky camera angles,no background exercisers and no special wardrobe or makeup.originally it was on dvd-r(which is the copy i have) but i think now its available on regular pressed dvd. any fan of sara's would appreciate this workout. has the feel of candle light yoga with the more challenging work of balance that i don't think i have done in any of the videos i tried of hers. gym time later. i marked down HIIT but not specific to running or elliptical and not even sure if i would feel like doing it but we will go with the flow on this one today. kassiaLDY_SOLANA'S fITNESS BLOGLDY_SOLANA'S WEBPAGE
