Laurie,

You may want to call the office first thing on Monday morning. Ask for Dee

and tell her what is happening. She can check with Dr. K. and get some

answers for you. They may even look at the possibility of moving your

surgery date forward, especially with the hernia causing pain.

You may also be able to email Dr. K. directly. There is a link on the web

page for you to do that. www.gr-ds.com

Sorry I can't offer any more info than that.

Check with Dr.K's office...It's probably not anything to worry about, too

much. Now, if it were an Iguanal hernia, then you'd have a problem!!

I'm getting really worried because I have a new hernia. I believe it

would be classified as an inguinal hernia

Jerry,

My point was that I want to talk to Dr. K personally, himself. I

need to do that and that would make me feel so much more

comfortable. I knew right away when Dr. Quinn called me from

Milwaukee that she wasn't the doctor for me by her " I haven't got

time for you " attitude on the phone. Not to mention it took her ONE

MONTH to return my call after 3 phone calls and one email. I had

decided to just forget her. And her phone call confirmed I was right

to feel that way. You can really tell a lot about a person just by

talking to them on the phone. So, does anyone know if Dr. K will

call me personally and when the best time is to call?

Hernia problems

I'm getting really worried because I have a new hernia. I believe it

would be classified as an inguinal hernia. It's right above the

crease below my panni in the LLQ. But this puppy is SORE.

Especially more so at night after being active all day. It's getting

really bad, really fast!! I'm not sure I can wait 6 months to have

it taken care of. It's starting to bulge and that's what is causing

my abdominal pain according to my surgeon's PA. Once in a while,

after eating, I have such bad abdominal cramps that I can't stand up

straight and it feels better when I lean over a counter and put

pressure on my abdomen. The pain after eating happens up in the

unbilical area. I have two hernias now. The lower one and the one

at the top of my RNY incision. That one doesn't bother me.

You know, I was just thinking that I would feel so much more

comfortable if I could just talk to Dr. Keshishian himself about

certain procedures. Does he ever talk on the phone to prospective

patient's he hasn't met yet? Or only after he's met you?

Hugs,

Laurie

Call/email the office and explain to Dee that you want to talk

directly to Dr. K. Explain to her that you feel it is an important

part of making your decision on choosing a Doctor you havent' met

yet (because of your experience with Dr. Quinn) and making that

commitment to travel. It is free to ask! But please understand

that you can't expect to get Dr. K on the phone for every question,

every ache or pain...that is why he has Poor overworked Dee!

Hugs

Jo
