Ahhh yes.... I just wish finding the new me was more an " event " like surgery...vs. a process, like losing the weight! Guest guest
Amy, I cannot believe you are only a year ahead of me. I remeber so well the night we met - it seemed like you were 5 years out!! LOL!! Your confidence abounded! Your prayers gave me peace! WOW!! You were only 11 months out! I wish I could tuck in a shirt and wear a belt. I just can't do it. Maybe after a tummy tuck. Til then I am in the untucked club! hugs, cindy lee > > in april, i will be 3 years out. i > will wear shirts tucked in, belts, etc. > ~amy c~
Guest guest
> i seldom post, but read every message that is on this list. when i > read your posts about finding your style, and then discussing the > body/mind image that you are dealing with, i had to respond. This subject has been plagueing me (in a good way) since it started. I have just been to sick to post to it. Maybe I will later today. But Amy, you are so right. We have all been to such different places in our minds and bodies that we each need to find our own styles. I have found that my style, while before wls was whatever fit, was still kinda 60's, but couldnt find the clothes. My style now is still kinda the same and still finding clothes that fit can be a problem. But my mind/body image are on opposite ends of the chart. Til then I am in the untucked club! > > hugs, cindy lee Hi lee I tucked in my shirt for the very first time and wore a belt with a huge belt buckle. The shirt my Grandad bought me when I was about 20. It is a western shirt from Jedlickas in Santa Barbara and I was never able to wear it- way small. But I saved it, as it was something my Grandad picked out for me and bought me. My Grandad was the only man that ever truly loved me, unconditionally, until . But he died in '83, the same year my ex left. The huge belt buckle came from winning the Whiskey Flat Mayors contest in 1992, and I never wore it because I didnt even own a belt. lol I wore them both to Whiskey Flats this year and felt really good about it too. I know it is because of my flat tummy. I kinda overlook the huge legs and butt i still have. Your are right. After your tummy tuck you will feel great! Guest guest
Sharon, I bet you looked great!!! So good that you saved the shirt all these years and can now enjoy wearing it! Your granddad would be thrilled! If I had your little waist and flat tummy I would tuck in my shirts and wear a belt everyday!! Mitch has a western belt buckle that was his dad's, I would love to wear it someday with jeans, a western shirt and boots. But I know I would not like the way I looked -the jelly belly look is not for me. If I try to tuck something in I look like I have dunlap disease - my belly dun laps over my jeans! hugs, cindy lee > > I wish I could tuck in a shirt and wear a belt.
