Guest guest
Has this clinical trial info come up here? Since we have talked about glutamate (as opposed to serotonin) dysregulation as a possible mechanism in treatment resistant ocd (in relation to another clinical trial with riluzole (sp?) I'm wondering aboout this glutamate precurser (?-speaking only as layperson) with regard to spectrums of ocd like skin picking and trich, or other impulse/compulsion oriented behaviors- which are more pleasure oriented in a sense. I want to follow the results and wondering if any list members are close enough to participate. N-acetylcysteine (which can be purchased otc like inositol) is in trial for possible treatment in cocaine addiction and pathlogical gambling as well. http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00539513?intr=%22N- acetylcysteine%22 & rank=15 PS Wishing all list members a peaceful and happy holiday! nancy grace
