Hi Everyone,

I tried 10 Min Solution Kettlebell this morning - which I understand isn't "real" kettlebell work, but I think it gave me something of a taste of what using KBs may be like. And, I think I liked it! :) I used a 10 lb dumbell in place of a kbell. The instructor - Michele Olsen uses a dbell throughout instead of using a kbell. I guess more or less this turns out to be a "functional" strength training routine more so than a kbell routine - but I could be wrong, never having done kbell work before. :) Anyway, what impressed me so much was how high your HR gets doing "swings" and such! I was expecting this to be a strength workout and thought I would add on some extra cardio (to burn off some bad eating yesterday!)- but as it turned out I felt that I got both a strength and cardio workout! Very effifcient. I liked most of the movements and I really liked the "halos" to warm up the shoulders and

uppper body. I will need to build up to it, but eventually I'd like to try this one with my 15 lb kbell. I also think doing a section or two in the afternoons would provide a nice burst of activity.

After this one I did two segments from 10 Min Solution Yoga for Beginners. I did the core section and the stress relief section. Pretty standard yoga postures, but worked well to get a little extra core in and to stretch out after the Kbell routine.

I may never become hard core w/ Kbells, but I did enjoy this routine and may try to learn some more moves to just add on to my exercise life.

Tomorrow I will do either a 10 Min Solution cardio workout or a 10 Min Solution Pilates workout plus a walk. I think I will have some DOMS tomorrow - :)

Take care,

Donna
