I warn people to be very careful with physicians who are butchersSome doctors cut too much and leave horrible scar tissue that will make it almost impossible to bottom

I suggest that you never are put " under " with anesthesia and instead get infrared coagulation to cut out the pre malignant tissue (unless you really have to go for extensive surgery that requires complete sedation)

Also, keep in mind that scar tissue may actually look like dysplasia in future examinations, so it is important to either keep the same doctor and ensure that your records are transferred to the new doc to compare high resolution anoscopy results year after year.

I'm curious about the question about sex after dysplasia treatment as well.  I have had two IRC procedures over the last year which have been successful and healed completely.  I've been able to bottom without discomfort but wonder if there are limits to how far that can go.  I'm concerned that if there is scar tissue that might make tears possible with more aggressive play.  I read one place that IRC does not appear to affect normal tissue so I'm hopeful the risk of scarring is low.  However, I haven't been able to find much information about post-procedure sexual activity, except for allowing a couple weeks for healing.  I'm not comfortable asking my colorectal doctor who performed the procedure about this.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

Never been sick and other than my asthma and dental work I've been OK. Eat a healthy diet. Take my med (Complera) and vitamins religiously. Workout 4-5 times a week. My VL is undetectable, TCells 789, Cholesterol, testosterone levels, and all other safety tests came back normal. My doctor also did a Pap Smear test. Once the results were back my doctor told me that it came back positive for something called Anal Dyslapsia. I don't have anal warts and other than HIV and asthma don't have any other STD outside HPV which 80% of the population get, I believe. I had the Gardasil vaccine administered about 6-7 years ago.

She did an initial examination of my anus area and rectum and did not find nor see anything unusual or abnormal. However, they test on the 17th will tell what the story is. I feel numb about this and even though she explained what this is... it scared me though :( Have others in the group being diagnosed with Anal Dyslapsia and if so, how are you doing? How is it being treated? Is it lethal? Is that a sign of cancer? :( Is it treatable? Curable? Does it require taking more meds? How this has affected the quality of your life, sex life? What should I expect after my Anoscopy test?
