Boxing class

Hi there,One of my co-workers is a boxer, and she started teaching at lunch. She'll take two students at a time. I took her class today, and it was fun! We warmed up, and then she showed us boxing drills. We had real boxing gloves and got to throw punches. Boy, that's weirder than I even expected. I had to punch into her bare hands. She's one tough cookie.

Today I also learned that you burn a hell of a lot of calories trying to jump rope even if you trip every 5th jump. It was a weighted jumprope, and it was way to long for me.I've had such a great couple of weeks. I've really increased the volume and intensity of my workouts. The best thing is that I've had the chance to try all sorts of things. I've always preferred exercising solo, but it's so great to work out with friends. Newsflash, right?

Here are the past 3 weeks. I think I had posted part of this before, but I can't remember where I left off:

OMG, no kidding! I have to buy a jumprope ASAP. I'm glad there were only two other people in the room, because I sucked! LOLOL.On Fri, Feb 26, 2010 at 9:21 PM, Pink Pussycat <pinkpussycat@...> wrote:

This might be quite scary for liability reasons, LOL. This woman is about to head off to law school in August, so I'm going to take advantage of this while she's here. Thanks!

Hi Geoff,Good to see ya! I don't know, but probably not. We're doing it at lunch at work, and there are probably some liability issues if we start doing that, LOL. I think we'll be doing drills.
