I went running for the first time in about a week today during lunch, and it felt soooooo good!   Quite a few nice things happened:1) on my way to the Sweat Shop this guy I don't even know complimented me on my summer dress and said he had seen me earlier and thought " wow, what a great dress! "   I bought this dress last year and it didn't fit me, and now it fits great!

2) my pace seemed faster today.  I never time myself, but I could tell I was going faster.3) as I was going up the first set of steel grating inclines, a very handsome and muscular african-american man smiled at me, said hello, and gave me a " thumbs up "

It started to sprinkle as I crossed over the Hawthorne Bridge and my favorite song on the whole playlist came on, " Dr.Beat " the Miami Sound Machine VS Mylo Stop the Pressure Mix. I look forward to running again tomorrow!

today's Esplanade Run

The battery in my iPod was dead so I had to run to the sounds of the city today. I saw two of my friends/coworkers walking along the Steel Bridge and I yelled, "Move it, Slowpokes!!" which earned me a swat on the tush from Steve's baseball cap.

It is beautiful outside today and once again I am grateful to 1) be able to run 3 miles without stopping 2) run mid-day at work like this 3) take an extra shower during the day. Hope to do this again tomorrow!

I'm starting to get a little tan, which is cool. Oregonians don't see the sun very much (think of the movie Twilight, it's like that)
