Guest guest
Hi Everyone, One of those days, just getting to posting my workout now. In sort of keeping with my Huckabee theme, I did Jiggle Free Arms from the TransFIRMer series. I know there is a joke in here somewhere, but the great thing about having a big collection of exercise DVDs, is, even though I knew I did htis one before, it was really like new to me! Anyway, I enjoyed it - upper body work interspersed with cardio. I was very pleased that I was able to do the decline push-ups (w/ my feet on the TransFIRMer on my toes!). I have been slacking in the push-up department since I burned out on them last year. I enjoyed the workout - as a whole and went fairly heavy (for me). I had originally thought I'd add on 's Lower Body Blast from the Harmony set, but I decided to go with another "Forgotten" workout - Hips, Thighs & Abs from the BSS3 (Death Box) series. Pam Cauthen leads this one. is a backgrounder -so I sort of stuck with the theme! It is mostly floorwork done using the TransFIRMer as a prop - you lay on it, lean on it, etc. The leg work has a bit of a Pilates-Barre influence. I think Pam has a background in those areas, if I recall correctly. The ab work is tough - a lot is done on the incline and it is challenging!! Anyway, I enjoyed both of these today. Not sure what is up for tomorrow. I think I should probably NOT use the TransFIRMer or step tomorrow - since I have used it 3 days in a row already. Probably a good idea to cross-train a bit! Guest guest
Hi Donna! I'm glad you enjoyed JFA too, I thought this was a really good one. They need to lose the cheesy title though, it makes it seem less serious and then you get into and find it is indeed serious! Great job on the decline pushups too! I'll try those on my toes next time, the darn TransFIRMer killed my knees! I have Hips, Thighs & Abs still in plastic. I think I got it earlier this year. I saw in another post you had DOMS from it too, I'll have to do it during my, likely, FIRM and Friends rotation I'll do in July! I got serious DOMS from Upper Body!! Especially my chest and some in my triceps too. I'm doing it again next week and hopefully will have recovered from it by then! Tomorrow for me is Aerobic Body Shaping. I'm half dreading it because it is an hour long and the kids only have a half day and I'm sore from Upper Body but also looking forward to it because I remember it being really good plus it is 50-50 cardio and sculpt which I'm really starting to like a lot, plus I'm really liking the TransFIRMer. Alright, gotta get some towels folded then off to bed. Gotta sit down tomorrow too and figure out my workout schedule for at least next week, working around the little bit I know of our summer schedule. If I plan what day and what time I'm working out, like setting appointments with myself, I'll be much more able to get them in, despite the chaos of adjusting to having much less of a routine/building a summer one.
