You can also develop a reaction to the stuff they use to test and have a false positive. It would mean he has to have x rays from now on because he will more than likely react from now on. I know lots of people who have to have x rays because of the test. in Bama VBG 1982 (lost from 433lbs to 270's) VBG to RNY1996 revision(Lost from 343 to 299) RNY to DS revision Dec 2002 -down 118 lbs so far (377.7 to 259.4 and still going Homepage address- http://hometown.aol.com/mdl1031/myhomepage/profile.html Many thanks to Dr. K willing to take on a 3rd timer....LOL

Back in 1991 my husband started going to x-ray tech school. When the time came for him to get a job at the local hospital, they required a TB test. My husband was asymtomatic (sp), yet he tested positive for TB. When they did the x-ray test they discovered that he actually did not have TB –rather, he was a sort of carrier but could not give anyone TB. (It turned out that his roommate in the mid-1960s at University of Texas had TB.) My DH did require a 6-month regime of isonizoid (sp) which is a type of chemotherapy. My husband had to abstain from alcohol for the duration. There were no side effects from the drug. Now his regular tests for TB is an x-ray test read by the radiologist rather than the typical TB test - since he will always test false positive. Hope this reassures you.
