I am worried I may be eating too much since I've only lost 32 pounds at six weeks and some people have lost twice that much by now... what do you think? > > Kim (TX) Kim, you seem to be doing fine. Remember, I lost at your rate, no lie, and ate a lot. I am now " skinny " by my friends estimation. BMI under 25, anyway. The reason I am eating less right now is because I am not hungry, for emotional reasons. Not sick, not in mourning, just busy and not hungry. I noticed the less fat on the body, the less hunger power generated. Coincidence? Hmmm... Marta
Guest guest
> Thanks Marta, > > How long did it take you to lose your weight? Also, how much did you need to lose? I think I am starting at a higher weight than you - that's why it concerns me... seems like people " my weight " seem to lose faster than me.... I guess I'm just paranoid. I started at 352. I'm 5' 6 " Kim, it is a mistake to use weight to compare yourself to others. I am probably the shortest person here, only 5 feet and one half inch tall. My beginning BMI was 50. Use your BMI to compare yourself. I am 21 1/2 mos out. I do not seem to have many eating issues (cravings, overeating, etc) but I have eaten candy all along, and even drank soda. The past couple weeks I have not drank any soda, didn't want it, and ate far less candy. I always eat protein. LIke it. Love it. Guest guest
Kim, I know what you mean when you say you see other's who have lost a LOT of weight in a few weeks. One of our newbies, a man, lost 87 pounds in the first FOUR weeks. I could have shot him when he told me!!! It took almost a YEAR for me to loose that much. It's an odd thing how our individual bodies release weight in response to the DS. Jim Who really MUST shower and get dressed for the day, but who wants to go back to bed and hide. _____ From: Kim Kaufmann [mailto:megafone910@...] O.K. - I'll calm down - (smile) I mean 32 pounds in 6 weeks is still great!!! I think I just probably set some unrealistic goals for myself in the beginning.... and then I saw that lady on Discovery health channel - same weight as me and she had lost 36 pounds in two weeks - 70 pounds by 6 weeks - I was like - Oh my gosh
