Guest guest
A friend just told me you can put KT in the wash if it's over-brewed and all vinegar-y. Says it acts just like vinegar (softens, disinfects, deodorizes, etc), but more potent. However, she says you have to put it in the wash water and not the rinse or else the color might stain. I haven't had an over-brewed batch since she told me this, so I can't give any personal reccs there. I thought I would chime in and share my little discovery. Maybe others have discovered this use for KT vinegar too? After a bit of a heat spell here in San Francisco, I was left with a volume of KT vinegar. I soaked my feet in it, I used some to set the dye color in some new sarongs I brought home from Bali, and I cleaned my kitchen floor with a dilution of water and KT vinegar. Still I had more, so I put some in a spray bottle with water to dilute and added a few drops of essential oil of lavender. It works wonderfully as an air freshener for the car or home. Sharing is caring. mari ------------------------------------

Guest guest
My only problem with trying this is that everyone I know thinks the kt smells bad, so though I might think it an improvement I'm not sure my roommates will! Guest guest
Hi Meg'gan, It is true, in the beginning some people do not like the smell of fermenting Kombucha but once they try it and start to like drinking it, all of a sudden it becomes an aroma that they like. Guest guest
I wonder has anyone tried vinegary kombucha on pet stains, maybe worth a try;)) I do not have any indoor pets, but when I raised a puppy, I remember how hard it was to remove odor.
