Guest guest
Hi , Just forwarding this from Dr. Haston who took over for Engelhardin Florida. I used to go to him before Kaiser Permanente in Oregon began todo the treatments about a year ago. Kaiser is using other fillers as well. The person who is doing the work for me is not doing the cross hatch andfanning technique, but seems to get decent results for me non-the-less.Hope you are doing OK and look forward to seeing you at CROI. PAP Program changes Hi,We received a phone call last Tuesday with some distressing news. Effectiveimmediately, the Sculptra PAP program has new guidelines. To qualify forFREE Sculptra from the Patient Access Program, your AGI (Adjusted GrossIncome) must be less that $20,000. We don't have the exact specifics, but Iwill give you some sample AGI's and what would be charged by the PAP forproduct for EACH KIT (that's 2 VIALS).Less than $20,000 Free$30,000 $200/ kit(2 vials)$40,000 $600/kit(2 vials)$50,000 $800/kit(2 vials)$60,000 $900/ kit(2 vials) Over$70,000 Ineligible We can submit orders the same way as we always have. If you make over$20,000 the program will contact you and tell you the number of kits forwhich they approved you, and they will tell you the cost of those kits. Theprogram requires payment from the patient via credit card before shippingthe product to our office. HOWEVER, it would be worthwhile to call us and check to see ifyour costby using the PAP program is better or worse than our regular prices forpatient NOT on the PAP program. If your income is $50,000 or more, then our price (our product fee +administration fee) is frequently better than going through the PAP program(product fee via PAP program + administration fee). Also, we may see that the Radiesse PAP program will be more advantageous foryou. It is a gelatin filler, and its use has improved since we can nowinject it with cannulas which has cut down greatly on bruising which was anearly problem with that product. We also use a very long lasting filler, Artefill, which has no PAP program, but will last many years in your face. Please feel free to call with any questions or concerns. We are not privyto any written documentation for the Sculptra PAP rules, so we will keep youall informed as we learn more. Thank you for you kind loyalty through the years, and we look forward toassisting you in finding the best solution for your individual situation. Steve and Calvin W.
