Guest guest
Good article, but does not really go into much depth. I was using Truvia (stevia/erythritol) until I read that it is highly processed using all sorts of chemicals, so I switched to agave. However, this article states that agave “is highly processed and about 90 percent fructose, " so it dumps right into your liver”…”. Yikes, now where to turn? I wonder what puts in his coffee? Guest guest
In regards to Stevia mentioned in the article. Those products made from the leaves of the Stevia plant are much less bitter than those that include the stems. I've been using Stevia for over 20 years and don't notice the taste much at all. In the early days, you could only find it in the supplement aisle since it was not allowed to be sold as a food.I've also grown my own Stevia plant and have chewed a leaf right off the plant and it tasted fine.I usually buy the NOW brand, Non-Bitter organic Stevia extract with organic Inulin added. There are a couple other brands out there that taste fine, but I don't remember them at the moment. I will say I have tasted the Whole Foods brand of Stevia and it does taste horrible. L.
