Guest guest
Most of the jars I have been seeing are old pickle jars. Sure your jar is very nice but if you are in need you can clean these up also. I just try to support my local comunity and choose to save a little money and pay a little more at people friendly stores such as cosco and your mom n pop local stores. That's all I was saying. Guest guest
I have tried freecycle... I did get two nice pickle jars.. but not a gallon size. I also got a jalapeno jar from the gas station close to my work. But the anchor hocking jars have a nice wide opening which is what I was looking for. But I freecycle often! Both giving & receiving! Guest guest
I received my pickle jars from Freecycle too! 3 x 1-Gallon pickle jars. 2 of them had nice wide openings. The label on them was from Subway. I have heard of people asking for the jars from Subway and getting them for free. This week I took about 3/4 of a cup of my 7-day brew, and put my original piece of scoby in with it to brew it for a little longer. I'd like some vinegar, but don't want to and a whole gallon to vinegar. Think I'll keep this little jar going to make the vinegar. Warmly, Velma kombucha tea From: patti720@...
