Guest guest
Your body has gotten comfortable and got used to the calories you are giving it . I would try to zig zag your calories. Adjust your calories so you are eating the same amount every week, but adjust so you have two days of higher calories. Your metabolism will hopefully " reset " , and start burning more this way. I would also up the intensity of your workouts. Your body is becoming efficient... you need to vary your workouts for the best results. Hang in there, you can do this!!!! You are surely not the only one who experiences it, and yes VERY frustrating! Guest guest
Hi ,I think you're doing great. I've been through that before. I went from 196 to 130, but it didn't happen in a steady fashion. I went through periods where I lost steadily for a long time, and then I'd hit a plateau, or I'd gain back a pound or two. The body adapts to what you're doing, and then it changes again. Sometimes you figure out how to tip it into the next weight loss period, and sometimes it just starts doing it on its own. Plateaus are actually a really good thing. It means that you're keeping an energy equilibrium, which is something that is hard for most people to do. It's actually practice. It's kinda like that when you hit goal. You still have to keep at it then. You did lose a little, so that's an excellent thing. You took a 5 day mini vacation and did not gain weight. WOOHOO!! Great job! Take a deep breath and congratulate yourself for your long term efforts. You've come such a long way. Guest guest
Hi , you are doing fantastic! My suggestion would be to change up your workouts and really push yourself. In my opinion, no pain no gain- if you aren't sore within the next couple of days or if you don't reach that point of fatigue you won't see the big muscle gains and weight loss. You want to lift to the point of not being able to do one more rep. I know it's frustrating - but you are doing so great and continue to be an inspiration for me!Cheers! Guest guest
Just be aware that if you weigh in when you're really sore and the scale is up, it means you are retaining water as your muscles repair themselves and it is TEMPORARY. You've gotten some excellent advice from several people. Keep in mind too that safe & healthy weight loss is 1/2 pound to 2 pounds per week, so .6 is in that healthy range. I know it is hard when you've lost bigger amounts though. I lost 25 pounds in increments of a pound. A .6 loss was a big deal to me! :-) It took 8 months but the good thing about it taking that long is that I had lots of time to practice healthy eating and attitudes and I've managed to maintain my weight loss (within a 3-5 lb. margin in either direction) for 3.5 years and counting! You've been doing absolutely great and you still are, even if it doesn't feel that way. You WILL go all the way too, you WILL. It might take a little longer than you'd like but as long as you don't give into the frustration and give up, you WILL get there! Hugs, Re: 's weigh in Hi , you are doing fantastic! Guest guest
Today I am down one pound, now at 161. I would so love to be in the 150's. Hopefully within the next two weeks I will make it. It is so much easier to eat right when I am at home on vacation, way too hard at work with all the goodies and the stress right there in the same room. in CA Hotmail is redefining busy with tools for the New Busy.
