Guest guest
...mostly I think it should come from a source that is an organically cultivated tea grower. I like bulk, maybe less processed. But that is what i like mostly for health's sake. Kombucha thrives well in any tea..black tea, green tea( for more fizz)I am not into using flavored teas, for fruit flavors may?? contaminate scoby. So I leave that for second ferment, the flavorings. This is a short chime, hope there be more in time..till than Lov Jahjet > > Hi everyone! > > I'm sure these questions have come up for discussion many times, but please have patience one more time: > - What " flavor " tea or tea combination do you use? > - Which is your favorite brand and from where? > I've tried a couple of combinations: ie: green and black; white and green and even wild blueberry (black tea), but I would sure appreciate everyone's opinion. I'm especially interested to hear what anyone has to say on generic off-the-shelf tea versus expensive web-site tea. > > Thank you for your time! - Donna >
Guest guest
Thank you . Your answer was very helpful. - Donna > > I like Savvy teas and herbs (just google them). I learned a bit ago about how most store products are made of tea 'fannings', the left over tidbits and dust of fine loose leaf tea. They have tons of really good loose leaf tea for good prices and bulk herbs for flavoring too. > > I do notice that its more flavorful and less bitter than store brands, which makes sense with how its processed more delicately and leaving more of the leaves intact. My kombucha seems happy with it too. >
