Hi Everyone,

Well, this week has been beyond stressful at work. Partially adding to the stress was the fact that I had to take off on Thurs/Fri to cover the school-camp gap - so I had to cram more into a shorter period of time. I did end up working half the day from home yesterday - but that was better than going in and it was good to have my "out of office" on, so I could pick and choose what to work on as people didn't expect me to be around...

ANYWAY - all this stress has created a lot of muscle tension and fatigue. Thursday I just did the standing stretch section from Classical Stretch 30 Min Express Workouts. My neck, shoulders, upper back were all killing me from sitting at a computer for HOURS on end this week.

Today, I'm feeling less stressed out - although neck, upper back, shoulders are still a bit tender. I slept in a bit - and did Crunch Burn & Firm Pilates w/ Ellen Barrett. Love this one!! I really hope that Ellen is planning some new workouts. I receive updates from her and postings about her live classes. Wish I lived near her studio in CT. I am noticing that my calves are tight - and I think that may be due to the fact that I didn't do many barefoot workouts when I did the Huckabee routines, and now that I'm doing Ellen's barefoot it is challenging to my feet, ankles and calves. Will have to be mindful of that especially if I want to start the Couch to 5K routine again!

I'm still hoping to start my new rotation on Sunday - but part of me is thinking that I have one more week of stress at work - so maybe I should stick with these "lighter" routines so as not to further stress my body out. It is amazing what mental stress can do to the body - my job is not physically demanding (other than the requirement to SIT a lot!)

I guess I will play it by ear - I would like to get to my new rotation though sooner rather than later so I can have a good amount of time with it before vacation. I had planned for 8 weeks, but I think I will only have 7 weeks as it is.

Donna I'm sorry you're so stressed out!  Hugs!  My back was sore a few days ago and I know how worrisome that can be.  Stress does often get stored there.I like Ellen's Crunch pilates dvd's a lot too :)  I think you need to start an Ellen Barrett fan club, Donna!
