They are giving them at the pharmacies here. You may

want to check with your pharmacist. Good luck. Bill

A flu shot can actually activate a starter virus you may have had as a child and cause symptoms of an auto-immune disorder to either manifest or exacerbate. Best, Kathy

[low dose naltrexone] Flu shots

,I was advised not to get flu shots, ever, by a neurologist I had, in 1993. He said that the side affects weren't so good and, that the effects were too much like the " crab" drugs. I've never gotten a flu shot, and won't.

Regarding the flu shots, as a nurse I have seen it

given to the elderly and/or medically fragile, and

seen how sick some of them became because of the shot.

It seems ironic to me that the medical profession is

advising it for the very people it is most likely to

hurt. The claim is " IF " those people got the " real "

flu, they would be much worse.

One year I was working as a nurse in a senior's

residence (about 120 people) and for about a week

after the shots, most (about 100) of the residents had

flu symptoms. (diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, etc) I

was so busy at work and just become pregnant...too

busy taking care of the sick people to stop and rest,

and that's how I miscarried my first baby.

Then shortly afterwards, I got pregnant with my son

(ASD one), and we were working on our new house.

(painting, etc) A move and more house renovations

later (we bought a house with my brother and built an

addition to the house, which took a Long time), this

son was born. (ill)

Here is a good web page on the flue shot.

http://www.mercola.com/2000/nov/26/flu_shots.htm - have a friend who has been a

RN for years and she agrees. If you only knew what is in them.....agree with

you - don't think I would be taking. Been a really long time (yrs) since

had the flue and as work in a group home with the disabled was suggested we all

get it. That year was one of the worst in history for me with getting the flue.

If another person had a touch of it...I was guaranteed to get it twice as

strong. Could of been allergic to something in it too though....who knows.

Just read some of the things the above medical website mention are in there.

http://www.4betrhealth.com

rheumatic flu shots

If the vaccine has thimerosal (mercury), no, thank you. The other point is

that you are introducing microorganisms into your body when you already have

a damaged immune system. I can't get that to make sense for me.

My father who is 64 was urged repeatedly to take the flu shot and he finally

consented. He took the shot and promptly got the flu. My father is asthmatic, so

over the counter flu medicine actually worsened his condition, he was weak from

the flu, couldn't eat and was dehydrated. In the middle of the night he fell

while going to bathroom and landed right on his head and had a stroke. A month

later he started having seizures and lost his balance. He found out he had

internal bleeding which the doctors at the hospital had not detected. Had to

have emergency brain surgery, ( this was one of the most horrible times of my

life! ) finally made it through. He's all healed now, thank God and is back to

normal. But we curse the day the doctors insisted on my father having to take

the flu shot! I know not everyone has such a horrible experience, but you asked,

and I had to share. It's a chance you take, so think about it carefully.

e,

As with all vaccines we have to be careful. doesn't get a Flu

Shot. Her Dr said that the risk was higher with the Flu Shot. But working

around Kid's as we all know you can catch anything. A friend of mine is a

School

Teacher and her class is young kid's. She catches everything. In the Winter

she stays sick.

My Great Aunt got her Flu Shot yesterday and she's 95 yrs old. She is in

fair health too. My Sister got her flu shot 3 weeks ago and so far all is

well with her. It is hard to make the Choice.

Working with Kid's your at risk for much of anything. Ask the her Dr

about it. He should be

a Better Judge on this sweetie. I don't take the Flu Shot either. I try to

avoid crowds alot in the winter time.

I agree. Unless one is very old and feeble, I would not opt for the flu

shot. Even then I probably would not get the flu shot but maybe the one for

pneumonia. That seems to be what kills many older people. Even then I would

have to think it over. Think we are getting a bit " shot " happy here in the

states. Seems to me it is quite profitable and therefore the push to get

everyone to get it. My daughter took her two year old to the pediatrician.

They wanted to give him the flu shot. My daughter said no and explained why.

The doctor said that personally she agreed and was not getting her own kids

vaccinated, but the practice she was in insisted in pushing it on everyone who

came in...hmm.m.m. Of course I have always gone by the theory " less is

best " .....just one opinion. Martha

We always get the shot. Aubrey easily catches stuff. I tried to do what I can we

also. Got the pneumonia shot. After pneumonia 4 times in 2 years and already

scarring in her lungs the risk of the shot were less than her in the hospital.

The shot only covers bacteria pneumonia. I felt that we need to do the shot. SO

did her rheumy.

I hope we have a better year. Due to breathing problems we were on homebound

school for a bit last year....\Terri Mom to Aubrey...10 years old Jra and iritis

In no way did I mean to be disrespectful.....I was referring to my own

situation. My body is being attacked with a vengeance. I started AP two

months ago and am very hopeful.

Many thanks for the comments on flu shots. As usual, great advice. I will

not be getting one.

[ ] flu shots

I am new so I'm sorry if I repeat something they everyone's already

addressed. I have a 4 yr old and a 1 yr old. After my first child,

I was very careful to make sure that my second child was not given

any vaccines that had mercury in it. I didn't really know what we

wre facing at the time with the oldest, but I knew that we should at

least take this precaution. I assumed that because they had removed

the mercury preservative in the vaccines for the kids that they

would also have done it in the flu shots. Of course I was wrong and

even after all we tried to do with the youngest I am afraid that I

unknowingly exposed her. She was given the shot back in the early

winter-and now is showing signs. I feel horrible because I should

have checked. I have spent the day writing every one of my

represntatives, the cdc, the fda, the local media, and anyone else I

can think of. I am begging them to at least inform the public so

that we as the parents KNOW and can make that decision with full

knowledge. I am sure I am not the only parent in the world who

assumed the same thing. If you've got some time, I encourage

everyone to please speak with your docs, write your reps, and inform

all parents. I am just one voice of one parent who feels horrible.

I hope that maybe I can make a difference in other kids and

parents. You all appear to know so much more and i'm glad I found

this group. Starting down this path has been both a relief and an

awakening! Thanks!

I don't know but just today on C-Span (re-run from last Tuesday), they were

showing the " House Appropriations Committee " talking about autism. A lady who

I think was from the CDC said about flu shots that " thermerisol was still in

flu shots but they were working on having it eliminated but it wasn't across

the board yet " , whatever that means. At the very least, I would ask to see the

box with the ingedients listed. I recently did this at SEVERAL places in my

city when I had to get a tetinus shot after stepping on a rusty nail. Couldn't

find one without trace amounts. I took it, praying all along. It really was

an old, nasty, rusty nail and went deep so I thought I had not choice. Ugh

I wouldnt take one anyway

I think the people that get the shot

I avoid them like the plague!!!! You'd have to tie me down and gag me and sit on top of me to give me a shot, and it would be totally against my will. I'll take my chances with the flu--at least it doesn't come with all kinds of chemicals with it! PattyLynn <spinkscl@...> wrote: So, anybody can chime in here... What is your take on Flu shots? Lynn

Lynn,

I know so many people who get the flu shot yet develop flu anyway

because it doesn't protect against all strains. I also attended a

lecture recently where the speaker passed out a sheet labeling all the

poisonous preservatives in each type of shot. After implants I'm leary

of putting anything in my body that's not natural! - PH

Sis,

Thanks for the response. I've decided to forego the flu shot.

By the way, I love the Crystal spray!! I played volleyball night, sweated up a storm and no odor! Thanks for the recommendation. Lynn
