Guest guest
I had an actual conversation with my son, who is sixteen and a junior in H.S. This in itself is amazing but what he had to tell me was also. I found out that his AP English/Composition teacher has AS. She's tough too, as my son has only made a D grade at five weeks into the school year and he is normally an A or B student. So, I had to ask my son if he found her teaching style difficult or if he noticed anything strange. Would he have known she was AS if she had not told him? He did not think she was odd, just has some quirks. He said when she looks at him her stare can be unnerving and if she loses her place during a lecture, she has to go over the list of subtopics in order to get back to the one she was on. He said she is passionate about the subject she teaches. I'm glad he has her and hope she can help him learn how to analyse the novels they are reading better than he can now.
