Hi Jen,

I hope you are able to walk your 5K - my fingers are crossed for you. Congrats on this week's weight loss too and I'm glad the ankle appears to be coming around. I think the best medicine for tendonitis may be rest......

t-shirt and admittance to the picnic afterwards. I'm going to try the walk but if it hurts my ankle a lot I will stop.I've decided to try and train for the walk as much as I can by starting with a 30 minute walk today. After today I will add 5 minutes a day. If I have any problems with my feet or knees I will back off the time.I really want to do this walk because I've been looking forward to it for months.Please wish me good luck, Jen Jen

Thanks Donna, I hope I can walk the 5K too!I rested my ankle for a month and now I NEED to start moving again before I go CRAZY. Jen

Yeah, it sux to have to rest, I'm in a similar situation with my shoulder.  Rest is key though, if it hints at swelling you need to ice it, ibuprofen, etc but you know all that.  That said, I hope you can do the 5K walk!  They are tons of fun!

Yeah, it sux to have to rest, I'm in a similar situation with my shoulder.  Rest is key though, if it hints at swelling you need to ice it, ibuprofen, etc but you know all that.  That said, I hope you can do the 5K walk!  They are tons of fun!

It keeps swelling up on me. I've had this since November! I guess I will keep putting ice on it and taking Advil and doing stretches...hopefully it will be ok at walk tomorrow.
