Guest guest
Eileen, Attached is a link have a look at it with your sister. My homeopath told me about atkins years ago, and we tried this version. My dd has been S...... free since. I am saying no more http://www.atkinsforseizures.com/ x Good luck Keptra and Epilim-help needed Hi everyonePosting about my Sister again - she is now in a wheelchair all the time, and not doing well, in fact getting worse. She has been put on Keptra and Epilim by her neurologist and is still getting fits which they say is due to scarring of the brain from her three strokes. She has read that the side effects from Keptra result in dizziness in nearly 50% of people and unfortunately she is suffering that as well. She is incredibly depressed and attributes this to the drugs (but I am not surprised after the kind of ordeal she has had). She thinks that the neurologist is just going through a list of drugs, cheapest first, and we are trying to find out what treatment could be better.I am going to see her next week - so if anyone has any ideas I would be so grateful for any help as we are going to try and work out what the hell we can do. If anyone has had a similar experience with a relative and is prepared to post, it would really help.I could be wrong but I told her I don't buy the story about the scarring because there isn't any evidence of it. She is having another MRI (had it today). Other MRI's haven't shown this up. I think this neurologist is barking up the wrong tree because I believe she has some kind of autoimmune problem (which runs in our family). Also she has got a fungal infection in her toes and what the doc says is psoriasis of the ear (nasty) - as she rarely goes anywhere now like she used to since this set in (she is 59 but is so young for her age) I've explained to her that she can't have easily "caught" it and I think it is yeast from low immune system - but how the hell do you treat that when you're on a battery of meds -she's on Valproate and epam as well.If you know of any good consultants who really get this whole thing that you can recommend, please post because I personally will see that she gets there. I'm also trying (begging) her to see and try TST. She says she's too old but I don't think that's necessarily the case either. Thanks guysEileen

Guest guest
Hi Eileen  My daughter has a scar on her brain in her right hippocampus. and we have been told that this is the reason she has seizures... Well from the limited options available to the men in white suits. and so did we until we began our work with Scotson.  Tatijana was having up to 8 seizures a week even though she was on high dose Epilim 800mg twice daily. The medics began telling us that she needed additional meds. - At Great Ormond Street I met up with Dr Rodney . - he said in his experience that once you have tried Carbomezipine and then Epilim and there are still seizures, it is unlikely that a drug solution will stop seizure activity ( I am so grateful for this honesty from him)  found that Tatijana did not breath properly.. and the constant dropping of oxygen levels was creating a higher potential for seizure activitity. We have now been using TST for 18 months - we were slow to fully adopt all the exercises that prescribed because I seemed like the seizures were initially increasing when we introduced leg exercises- This was not the case. It was simply that improving blood supply in the brain was beginning to heal and clear viruses that had been able to lodge in the scar area.  In July Tatijana and I took the decision for her to fully adopt all the exercises. introducing them really slowly... and less than 3 weeks later we began to notice a real decrease in her larger seizures. In the past 5 weeks she has had NO full blown seizures and only 3 partial seizures.. This is the longest period we have gone seizure free.. and there are many more gains...  Her speech is becoming much more fluid and her mental alertness has increased. Her body shape is changing again and she is looking very toned and slim.  Although your sister has arrived at her scar slightly differently from Tatijana, many of the symptoms are similar. Tatijana became extremely anxious and depressed when she was on Carbemezipine and began having night terrors and the biggest gift with TST is that she is in control of her health again.. Part of her out of controlness seems to have come from not being able to help herself.  has had so many really good results with people with all kinds of brain injury and damage... I hope that this note can give your sister hope,, that there is a really good possibility that TST may be able to make a positive difference to the quality of her life... and her seizures.   Tracey On Fri, Sep 10, 2010 at 9:58 PM, EileenC <biomed@...> wrote:  Hi everyonePosting about my Sister again - she is now in a wheelchair all the time, and not doing well, in fact getting worse. Guest guest
Hi Eileen, When I was last at Advance, there was a man there in his 60's learning the technique for his asthma - perhaps your sister might be heartened by that knowledge. > > > > > > > Hi everyone > > > > Posting about my Sister again - she is now in a wheelchair all the time, > > and not doing well, in fact getting worse. Guest guest
What you have written really rang a bell with my Sister - I cut and pasted your post and forwarded it to her. She has severe asthma, and has suffered from it all her life. She is now coming round to the idea that TST might help - we are going to discuss it this week. Thanks for posting because it has tipped the scales a bit! Guest guest
Hi there Tracey Thank you for taking the time to reply in detail to my post, I have cut and pasted all the replies and emailed them to her, we are now talking about the logistics of getting her to TST and also her husband who can do the exercises with her. So that's good news. She really wants to be drug free and I can't say I blame her! Brilliant post thank you again Eileen xx > > > > > > > Hi everyone > > > > Posting about my Sister again - she is now in a wheelchair all the time, > > and not doing well, in fact getting worse.
