This has been known for some time. Studies about facial symmetry have been going on for decades. It is interesting, however, that they have finally come to the conclusion I reached long ago: that women are preprogrammed to go for muscled up cro-magnans over more intelligent men. No wonder the bulk of humanity is still brutish and degenerate. They should also look at the height issue as well.

That's true.

It isn't just the Nazis though. This appears around the world in cultures and across time. It is also amusing that in places where they didn't look different enough from other tribes, they would use "body modification" such as tattoos or scarification to set themselves apart visually from the others.

Political Correctness by its very nature is highly rigid and intolerant. Bear in mind, this is the very term Stalin used to describe communist orthodoxy. Anyone who wasn't Politically Correct by the Party's narrow definition ended up in camps or dead, usually both in that order. Hitler called it Social Correctness, but because his horrors were more widely known and most academics worshipped Stalin and Marx, they used PC.

In the modern meaning, it is the same. PC has a very strict standard of what can and can't be said or thought and who can and can't be discriminated against. You can seemingly say and do a lot of things under its umbrella, mostly because they shock and offend the 90% or so majority that is not PC. However, if you disagree with any point, you get shouted down or attacked even.

It is literally a case of using one hand not knowing what the other is doing.I wonder when someone is going to cotton on to the fact that "tolerance" and "political correctness" are merely shields (like the Roman testudo http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Testudo_formation ) under which the social elite hides while it designs to eliminate anyone who does not fit the majority's definition of perfection.TomAdministrator

I don't agree with this analogy. The Testudo was an obvious thing. You could see it know generally what it was up to. More accurate would be smoke and camoflage, things that obscure the truth. but with attack dogs that sick anyone who tries to peel back the smoke. Another analogy would be sapping. This is the ancient practice of digging under the walls of a fortress or castle in order to weaken it and cause it to collapse. IN later times, explosives were used to enhance the effect. That is PC is doing: undermining the society that allows it to work and, oddly enough, tolerates it in a way that it would not tolerate dissent if it was in power.

1) The word " chick " is most often used by the thuggish men described

in the article.

2) The article merely states what most of us men have known all

along: If you look like a thug and act the part, women will be more

attracted to you.

That's why most male Aspies get fewer women than thuggish men. We are

geekish.

Some would say I've been fortunate, having been blessed with

reasonably good looks. But unfortunately, those good looks tend to

draw very shallow women.

It was not until I met Raven that things turned out for the best, and

I am convinced the internet had something to do with that. Not being

able to see each other at first meant that we could ONLY get to know

each other through talk and discussion, and the discussions, even in

the beginning stages were much deeper than anything I had encountered

previously in any real life relationship.

There is a lesson to be learned here, but since Aspies have no street

cred, no one will pay any attention to that lesson but us.

I'll tell you something very ironic about this study that no one has

Yet there was obviously SOME truth in the suggestion that one type of

facial construct is more appealing than others, else this study would

not have proven it out. One can hardly call women " racist " or label

them as Nazis for finding a certain facial configuration appealing,

yet they DO discriminate. That cannot be doubted.

I am sure men do too.

I wouldn't call it discrimination because it is not a conscience decision whom you find attractive and all women do not stay with those men who appeal on a purely physical level. Some can and do choose to dump the "cavemen" when they do not meet the intellectual standards.

Women Prefer Men Who Look Like Dad

The type of man who makes a woman's heart flutter has a lot to do with whether she was a daddy's girl, according to a new study.

Women who got along well with their dads as kids are attracted to men who resemble their fathers, whereas women who had a bad father-daughter relationship do not.

Lynda Boothroyd, a psychologist at Durham University in England, and her colleagues at the University of Wroclaw and the Institute of Anthropology in Poland asked a trained anthropologist to perform facial measurements on the photographs of 15 random men as well as the photographs of the fathers of 49 Polish women participating in the study.

The anthropologist calculated 15 key proportions based on how various features—such as the lips, nose, cheekbones and brows—related to each face's height and width. The researchers also compared the 15 random faces to each of the father's faces to determine how closely they resembled one another.

The women then rated their childhood relationships with their fathers based on how emotionally invested they felt their dads had been in raising them and how much time their fathers had spent with them. The women were split into two groups based on how positively or negatively they rated their relationships.

Then the researchers asked the women to rate how attractive they found each of the 15 random male faces.

The women who had reported positive relationships with their fathers were much more likely to be attracted to men resembling their fathers, the researchers found. On the other hand, women with bad dad relationships did not find men who looked like their fathers appealing.

"While previous research has suggested this to be the case, these controlled results show for certain that the quality of a daughter's relationship with her father has an impact on whom she finds attractive," Boothroyd said in a prepared statement. "It shows our human brains don't simply build prototypes of the ideal face based on those we see around us, rather they build them based on those to whom we have a strongly positive relationship."

Although no one yet knows for sure why females show these preferences, a woman with a great dad may choose a similar-looking mate in the hopes that he will also be a good father, the researchers wrote.

ALL people discriminate to some degree and discrimination is not

always bad. If one finds another abhorrent to their liking, they are

better off not interacting extensively with that person, don't you

think?

It is better for that person to discriminate AGAINST the other person

because they will never treat the other person equally or fairly,

whether they are aware of their behaviour or not.

There are a few out there for whom inner beauty far outshines outer

beauty. But for most, beauty is skin deep while ugliness cuts to the

bone.

There is nothing " racist " about what one finds appealing in another

when speaking of gut reactions to the physical attributes of another.

RE Height- Stossel did a segment on his show that really stunned me. Some pretend-researchers stood with women behind a one-way mirror commenting on whether they would date the man on the other side. The short well-dressed nice-looking guy who was a doctor with his own international medical supplies company who helped with an international disaster relief agency and did sky-diving in his spare time...he was a potential "best friend". The tallish muscular shabbily dressed construction worker- Dating material! You have to see the show it to believe it! Or at least I did. In the anthropology class that was showing the clip of the show the discussion went along the lines that in the ancestral past, living without police or property laws, a woman needed a strong mate to look after their families needs. And in that limited but important context for the evolution

of human brains and mating preferences, larger men ~in general~, on average, and all other things being equal, were better provider-protectors. I was just amazed at how powerful the effect seemed, the way it was presented in Stossel's show. (Hmmm... should mention it... ah, what the hay.... I saw that segment, but knew it was true before I saw it. Being tall, I

Men have their own set of criteria that are genetically programmed. Why do you think "breast augmentation" surgery is so popular? A lot of men also like stupid girls because stupid seems to equal easy. Same applies to heavy drinkers. I'm sure you won't find many PhD candidates in those Girls Gone Wild videos.

Personally though, the main thing I look at is the eyes. If they have that "no one is home" look, that's it for them, no matter how attractive they may be.

Anyone ever heard of the bubble headed bleach blonde. Once a male

friend told me he dated a woman that wasn't bright or even brought him

pleasure in an intimate way but she was so beautiful that he stayed

with her for a while. Umm barf and men aren't particularly good in the

depth area either. Hrumnff. she said good naturedly present company

When I was dating, men would often tell me how they could take care

of me fiancially and how tall they were. Both of which terrified

me. in my mind this meant i was for purchase, and i could be

physically overcome with ease. Often i actually told men that if

they were over 5'10 " i was not likely to see them at all over 6ft was

a certainly no (even though my uncle is 6'2 " and my brother in law is

6'5 " ) In any case offers to purchase me were also turned down on the

spot. This would have lead to guilt and feeling that i was costing

too much. Often when men profess they are wealthy it comes to pass

that although they make it sound like they want very much to share it

with you (female mate) (um as long as you never gain an ounce, get

grumpy for any reason, especially if you have reason, disagree with

them, or age) therefor i remain comfortably as an outlier in most

circles. Entrapment may be a better word than offer.

Even my ex did this he proclaimed that he had money(I knew he

didn't) Hmm I prefer men closer to my own height, but this didn't

work as I had hoped(I thought you could trust a man who was more your

size) It was not until he proposed marriage that he stated he had no

assets. I told him I already knew this. state of many of his items

and certain other viewable evidences. Well I stayed true and as

people who lie are wont to do he lied about every promise to be a

good person there was. with the inclusion of the above (gaining an

ounce thing) perhaps if there were some penalty for lying, well

anyway; I think i have established without a doubt that I am odd. I

think that's enough
