Guest guest
Wow Dave - did you get rebound behaviours? Was one of the first things I ever read about and seemed so exciting but I am thinking these days we have a much better handle on gut bugs, when I first started we (as in ASD community/DAN) only just knew about yeast, bacteria came along later and this was olden days stuff, ie 10 years+ ago Mandi x In a message dated 29/09/2010 15:39:42 GMT Daylight Time, dava93@... writes: Hi , used this alot, first time we used it s bowel improved loads and he was potty trained in a week. When he did used to get constipated if all else failed this would work. Probably it used to just change the composition of what was in the tube ie get rid of the bad bacteria. Also usually used it with an anti fungal never used it on its own.dave Autism Treatment From: peter_2_@...Date: Wed, 29 Sep 2010 14:01:30 +0000Subject: Vancomycin (oral) Has anyone used this (orally) and how was it?Was it obtained from Breakspears hospital?I understand it can be for Chlostridia and Strep amongst other thingsThanks
Guest guest
I meant to say maybe rebound is not such a problem these days. Must cut down number of jobs I am doing at once, I'm a bit excitable today! Guest guest
We are seeing very good improvements with metronidazole antibiotics. Jasmine has been taking them for 2 weeks on and 1 week off. We saw the GI last week, and she admitted she could see the improvements too. We have had to fight for many years to get a trial of these from the GI, but when we did, the staff at her school came to me and said that Jasmine had suddenly started engaging with her peers, could concentrate more, was less fidgety, and more " with it " . I asked them if they would put this in a statement, which they did, and I presented these to the GI at the next meeting. Since then the GI has said as long as she gets at least a week off, she can have them long term. I asked the GI if I could also add bicarbonate of soda, which she agreed to. We are slowly working up to 1/2 a teaspoon per day, alongside the metronidazole, so I am hoping to see more improvements soon. Good luck Glynis x > > Has anyone used this (orally) and how was it? > > Was it obtained from Breakspears hospital? > > I understand it can be for Chlostridia and Strep amongst other things > > Thanks > > >

Guest guest
Fine, no side effects, works quickly. BUT not to be used lightly I'd say. Good to wipe the slate clean and start again but it's a very thorough thing (although orally it's apparently not systemic, but don't quote me on that) so handle with care x > > Has anyone used this (orally) and how was it? > > Was it obtained from Breakspears hospital? > > I understand it can be for Chlostridia and Strep amongst other things > > Thanks > > >

Guest guest
I did this for a month with Sam. I didn't see any change. If it did do something, as Mandi says, they rebound pretty much straight after :-( .....and it costs me £500 just for the prescription, let alone the consult with a european dan dr Kirsty xx > > I have read that it is very effective but they rebound as soon as you stop > I never tried it > > Mandi x > > > In a message dated 29/09/2010 15:18:53 GMT Daylight Time, > peter_2_@... writes: > > > > > Has anyone used this (orally) and how was it? > > Was it obtained from Breakspears hospital? > > I understand it can be for Chlostridia and Strep amongst other things > > Thanks > > >
