Guest guest
Hi Sandy That sounds like a plan for us, Harry has bad salicylate issues and the Black walnut & Wormwood contains cloves and his skin ended up in a really bad way - think i will try rubbing it on the soles of his feet. x Autism Treatment From: sandyandtim@...Date: Fri, 18 Jun 2010 21:36:13 +0000Subject: Re: ASD and aromatherapy Dear Simone,I wonder if your friend would be interested in the transdermal application of oils like oregano oil and parasite combinations (black walnut, clove and wormwood). I know some people on this group and Jean's group have tried these (I think often on the soles of the feet?).I have been reading about anointing recently - it has been used traditionally in many cultures and faiths and often in the healing of the sick. Incense is another way to soak up therapeutic herbs and spices. I only found out a few months ago that boswellia is frankincense - myrhh is good for gut bugs too - but there are other good things in incense and smudges (though the particulate smoke can be an allergen - I smudged the house with a lovely sage from Baldwins and Tim and Eddie sneezed and thought it was just stinky.)I was reading about spikenard - it is good for deep emotional problems and good for allergies/skin reactions. I'd be very interested to know if anyone is using it for autism.Spikenard is the expensive oil anoited Jesus' feet with (and Judas complained about the expense). We were keen to smell it - but I'm afraid Tim has a good point when he said it smells a bit like like furniture/floor polish. Not unpleasant but not floral :-) Anyway we have added some to our homemade moisturising cream (that's another adventure). We are using lavender on our skin - I think it is good for healing - we haven't noticed too much but we smell nicer :-) - actually it did help quite well with my spotty forehead. I put some on the cats' collars last year because it is supposed to help with fleas - but couldn't be sure it was effective and I'm not sure the cats liked their new smell as much as we did so we haven't done it again. Best wishes, Sandy>> Has anyone experienced benefits to their children or themselves when using aromatherapy through an experienced practitioner as part of the overall healing programme? I've been approached by someone who is writing a book about how aromatherapy can help however my daughter and I have not followed this path so far on our journey. Guest guest
Isobel, I will have to try the insense on the soles of the feet for detox, but I am not sure if I should do so right now, as my son has verylow levels of glutathione. I have insense in my cabinet ;-) No, I don't know of a UK supplier, I go through Young Living in the US. Don't they sell in the UK as well? BTW, I don't use Tylenol on my son anymore. When he has a fever I simply rub diluted peppermint oil on his feet and that usually brings the fever down. Lavender works great for us on small cuts or diaper rashs! We gargle with thieves (diluted) when someone is about to get a sore throat or has a sore throat - that works really good. Hope this helps, Fabienne From: Isobel <isobelwizza@...>Autism Treatment Sent: Sat, June 19, 2010 10:20:31 AMSubject: Re: ASD and aromatherapy hello fabienneI have been trying to find a uk supplier as I only know an american one , do you know one ?I have had great success with frankinsense for detox on the soles of the feet at night time , many thanks, Isobel> > Has anyone experienced benefits to their children or themselves when using aromatherapy through an experienced practitioner as part of the overall healing programme? Guest guest
Lavender in Bio Oil has been great for me when I stupidly managed to get me a chemical burn from fumes all over my neck and bottom half of my face 3.5 weeks ago. Just don't ask.......................
