You are not alone! I have not worked in 8 years since my oldest was born. It

became very clear early on that it just wasn't possible. I've toyed with the

idea over the years, and every time I think things are stable enough, bam,

someone ends up in the hospital!

If you need help finding resources, I'd suggest trying to get SSI for sure for

your little one-- it really helps. We're in a similar situation, although my

husband does work, but we got SSI for our oldest and it really does make a

difference. We're appealing for the other two. From what I hear, we were

approved pretty quickly (3 months), and they did pay retroactively.

We've lost it all-- our business, our home, but never our determination-- even

though we are all on meds now to deal with the stress of the finances and 3 sick
