Guest guest
RAD as a condition is still very new and some studies regard it as a contraversial. Of course you're a wonderful loving mum. I fear such a diagnosis is a return of the idea that parents, especially mums were " refrigerators " thankfully we now know that our parenting is not at fault. Though as a mum with two boys on the spectrum of course in dark moments I blame myself. Where I live in Scotland in my local area I can observe that education professionals have quite a rigid perception of what autism is and how it affects children. My fears is that the mentality of blaming parents is just around the corner. This may be the justification for cutting support. ASD is a spectrum and though all children are affected by the triad of impairment all our children are unique and different. Thankyou to everyone who is out there finding out more about ASD and in educating others especially those who need to know. Good luck in getting a diagnosis we are all here for you as we know it's so stressful. Take Care, xxxx
