Guest guest
I have a son in high school who has an IEP which requires that the academic teachers provide him with notes prior to the start of class so he can highlight the notes during class. He needs this as he has very poor auditory processing schools. The school is now saying that even though he has this in his IEP that he is getting good grades right now (one week into the semester) and so they don't need to give him notes. The real issue is the academic teachers don't have notes and they don't want to force the teachers to prepare notes. Does anyone have experience with this or an opinion on the subject? I find it very frustrating that it was required in the IEP but now the district is saying they don't have to comply.
