Guest guest Posted October 12, 2010 Report Share Posted October 12, 2010 Hi everyone. I am new to this group and I just wanted to ask if any of you have had sleep problems with your child. I have a six year old son who was diagnosed with autism last year. He was my absolute star sleeper.... but now over the past four months, he's been waking up in the middle of the night like he's wired. He is sometimes up for 4 hours at a time! He goes to bed just great at night but he constantly wakes up in the middle of the night wired. There's been absolutely no change in his routine or nothing new in his life to bring this on. We've tried putting him to bed later, but no such luck! We've given him melatonin but it's like he's immune to it now. We are very routine oriented with him.
