Why are his veins so easy to see?

I am not sure if this is OT,(if so I apologize) or a sign of something

from valtrex, viruses....

my son suddenly seems to have thin skin on his face. I can see his

veins on his chin/side of face and it is a little worrysome. Does

anyone know what this could be or if it is even something to worry

over? He is on day 115 of valtrex.
