Guest guest
Hello everyone, Our immuno called me this afternnon to give me my daughter's latest numbers. Her IgG went from 527 to 425 (should be 643-1446.)He said that we are keeping a close eye on her and if she drops 50 more points, he is gonna be concerned. If she drops 100, he will start treatment. She has had one viral infection after another. Since Christmas she has had strep 2x, flu, chicken pox, RSV, and an ear infection. was about this age (8 1/2-9) when he first started getting sick. They didn't figure out what was wrong until he was 10 1/2. Dr L. says that this shows that it is definatly genetic (I have low IgG also) and my kids have a propensity for PIDD. ( has Selective IgG deficiency.) Has anyone else experienced a PIDD expressing itself about this age, or have they all had it since birth? Up until this year, Tori has been healthy other than asthma and eczema. was always sickly, but much worse at about 9. Thanks so much, www.caringbridge/visit/alexsmith
