Guest guest Posted December 23, 2003 Report Share Posted December 23, 2003 My son is 13y, soon to be 14 yrs next month. He is totally non-verbal and will be graduating from the 8th grade soon. I am in Houston, Tx and wanted to know if anyone can recommend a high school with a good program. I don't know where to turn. This is so hard. I tried TH Rodgers on San Felipe and they told me their program doesn't support autism alone; most of their kids are multiply handicapped and they didn't think he could thrive in the school. Other parents have said that's not true. Any suggestions??? Also can anyone know of an ABA Therapist/SPEECH/OT? And I need a no nonsense, knowledgeable advocate to accompany me to an ARD Meeting desperately. Somebody please help!
