Guest guest
My son's immuno asked us if we wanted our son to participate in this trial. The way it was discribed to me was the Enhaze would be delivered to the site first and then you would start the IgG in the same site without repoking. The Enhaze was discribed as a solution that loosens up the tissue and allows more of the SCIG fluid to be infused into one site allowing you to do a larger dose to cover the whole month rather that just the week. I would imagine there is an upper limit to how much can be infused in one site, so it would depend on the dosage as to how many sites a particular person would need. Unfortunately we had to decline the offer to participate in the study since it would require frequent IgG level blood draws which are very traumatic for my son. But it sounds like a wonderful technical advancement in SubQ and I am looking forward to hearing about the results. - Amy, mom to Nolan, age 4 > > > Phase III Trial Begins For GAMMAGARD LIQUID Plus RHuPH20 In Primary Immunodeficiency Patients > http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/134410.php > > > The way this reads is that it is still a 10% solution but they are putting an enzyme with the Gamma Liquid to allow the absorption to be different. > > What I'm curious about is the following statement: > > " Subcutaneous (SC) administration of GAMMAGARD LIQUID with Enhanze Technology is an investigational study and when approved could allow patients to receive a full monthly dose in a single injection site in their home setting.
