Guest guest
Hello everybody, what is up with you all today? I have been writing to facebook the last few days and I really enjoyed seeing the pictures of everybody, but would rather just chat back and forth here this way, don't have all the gadgets to fiddle with.. Well Marty and I got the flu shot today, and he got the pneumonia shot also. We took him over to Riverbend Hospital to see his lung specialist for a check up, and the doctor was really happy to see him well for a change instead of fighting for his life like when he has usually seen him before. He also told me I was doing a " phenomenal job " taking care of him, thought that was nice. We took both cars because had to go and see his anesthesiologist in the same building to get set up for his surgery on Mon. He got so frustrated waiting though he called and told me he was going to cancel it, but I told him if he cancels it who knows when he'll get another chance and he needs the other knee done, so he needed to settle down. So he saw his surgeon this afternoon and told me he would have to be there at 5:00 a.m. on Mon. so it looks like he changed his mind back. I took Marty out alone in his wheelchair so am getting in the groove to do him alone again..all of a sudden isn't going to be there and I will have to get him up out of bed and give him his bath shower and dress him, etc. I asked Tara if she could come the first few days and help me, will be in the hospital 3-4 days then home, don't know how much he will be able to do at least for awhile, but they want him up and walking right away. Other than that the kids and I are looking forward to going to the coast and staying at Driftwood Shores on Fri. through Sat. Jeff, me and the 5 kids will be going, it is right on the beach and we will be going to the dunes to do dunes boarding like they do on snow only this is on sand. I think it looks like fun, they also have sleds and dune buggies and a nice heated pool at the motel when we get done. Hope and Marty will be good at home overnight, it is just a 60 mile drive away only takes about an hour to get home in case they need me in a hurry, not like Disneyland where I was in Los Angeles and had to fly home the next day. But I think they'll be fine and I will get a little break for my birthday present. Well that is it here, Lucas got well from pneumonia and went back to school, praise the Lord! He is saying some awful things at school though, told his teacher he was going to blow up the whole school with a bomb, he gets a little dramatic and she understood because she said she had a downs syndrome child who says outlandish things like that, but we are sure working on Lucas to stop staying that stuff or he'll get in trouble...shish. Check in everybody... Much love, Carolyn OR ;o)
