Guest guest
Hi, A week or so ago, someone posted that their child had a grand mal seizure but that the EEG came back ok. I'm sorry-- I can't remember who it was, but I'd like to get some more information from you. What did the neurologist say about the EEG coming back clear? I guess it was a little more clear cut for you because it was a grand mal seizure, not a petit mal /absence seizure. I'm curious because my son (Asperger's, 15) has apparently been having absence seizures for years. Or at least, they certainly look like absence seizures--- eyes rolling back in head, spacing out, etc. But he had an EEG at UCLA recently and it came back fine. The neurologist was pleasant but dismissive because of the EEG. This leaves me asking what to do---- should I wait a few months and go back to the neurologist if the eye rolling continues? Or should I just assume that he is not truly having seizures, or that they are too minor for medication. If anyone has any thoughts on this, I would appreciate the input. Thank you!
