new to group, about my son mis diganose?

Hey.....Well heres my situation. We knew at 18 months there was something

wrong.....We took him to childrens hospital because we thought Autisim. Nope na

hes fine....we went on years dealing with hitting bitting, not alot of

verbal......Preschool a dr says Oh hes ODD....ok....then it goes on and hes gets

very upset at things a ton of crying...Preschool was a nightmare. I pulled him

when they called me because they were holding him on the ground when I got

there. Enrolled him in another school fine rest of the year.....Then K happened

3 weeks fine then he started showing anger when he wasnt helped right away

things were not goin in the order he thought they should. A teacher did a hug

hold thinking it would calm him, well he head butted her and sent her to the

hospital. He was 5 at the time. I pulled him out home schooled him for 3 months.

Same aggression at home when it was work he thought he didnt understand right

away. We went back to another Dr and he said Oh Adhd/ADD usually goes with ODD,

ok we medicate him....goes back to school rest of K was fine...some aggression

nothing violent....1st grade was ok no violence...Alot of arguring, with how

things should be his way...small stuff....2nd grade...2 weeks fine...hes now 7.

Then I get called. hes trashed the entire class because he was upset about doing

ABC order. not a little trashed. We are talking desks tipped over...I couldnt

believe what I walked into...he wouldnt respond me to. hit me, bite me...they

then called the police. He could have cared less. Finally he ended up walking

out and going to my van. Went home played with legos like nothing happened. He

get very frustred with noise around him. We moved him to another class that was

bigger, his class was very small not alot of room to move around and NO carpet.

1 week fine. Then he told a kid he would kill them. Suspended....then he hit

someone and was caught in a lie and then he trashed the speical ed class. Monday

he goes back after the break and was given a timmed test....freaked....layed on

his desk after throwing his chair and a trash can and was physically removed by

2 adults....So now he cannot be in his 2nd grade class and has to be in the

behavoir class. Theres only 8 kids in there. I think it will help him alot. But

what hes doing just dosent seem to fit into the add/adhd role? At home you touch

a toy of his or its been moved he freaks....if we go somewhere and he knows the

plans and plans change he gets upset. He wants to make all the rules, and wants

to make sure everyone is following those rules. hes very compitive, but if he

looses then its the end of the world. BUT he takes piano lessons does great.

Does a karate class does great. I think he may have aspergers....does any of

this sound like it to you? hes very bright. Tested his IQ at school hes like 114

I guess normal range for 7 year olds is 100-109. He loves to know anything about

history. He will take History shows, and HOW ITS MADE shows over cartoons any

day. Any thoughts? we are going to his Physc on friday to discuss. But I wanted

to hear from some people that have been around this. Am I crazy? I love his boy

to death and will continue to be his advocate till the day I die. I think

someone was to quick to lable this kido. I DO NOT CARE what he has, I will

embrace it and help him, love him. I just need to know how to help him in order

to do that I need to know what I'm dealing with, make sense?
