staph rash

Im a little concerned, today I took my 7 yr old son(CVID) to the

family dr, bc he's had a little rash that has recently gotten not so

little. At first, it sort of looked like eczema, but the Elidel didnt

help at all, so I tried putting abx ointment on it, and that would

clear it a bit, then it comes back. The rash, unfortunately, is on his

bottom, and he still wets the bed,so I know that isnt helping. I took

him in today, bc I cant get it cleared, and the dr said it looks

exactly like staph,and took samples, bc wanted to know if its MRSA. I

know those letters freak all of us out, and Im just wondering if

anyone here has any experience with this. She starting him on Bactrim

for now.

Would something like this be contagious? she didnt say he couldnt go

back to school, so I took him.....but should I?
