Jerri, I don't know how or what the policy states with your Medical Group, but in Texas if an employer offered insurance to an employee, by law. Cobra, or alternative insurance has to be offered...whether they are going belly up or whatever... They (all involved) play with the timing on this quite well, and I almost lost mine awhile back, and had to basically co-ordinate the ex-employer, the insurance rep, Humana. and Cobra and my TP team, cause they want proof they are getting their pound of LIVER!! hahaha. AT one time I suggested a conference call, because they all blamed someone else for the problems I was having. They say they will mail something?? Not good enough!! Unless Hippa protected, I demand a fax or email confirmation. OH!! Social Security records as well... proof you've receiving disbility checks. Even if something was Hippa protected, I would find ways around it, finding someone sympathetic to my plight. Del jerri neely <all4jerri@...> wrote: Thanks. That will be my first call on Monday.
