Guest guest
I have some more questions for all of you. I am the one that has a 19 month old with a PID. I hear that in most cases, the kids start getting sicker as they get older. Meaning that in our daughter's case, she is just now starting to experience more illness than ever. The poor thing has been sick and in and out of doctor's offices for past month. She has been on 3 different antibiotics in one month for several different things. She has had one ear infection a month ago, then 2 weeks later, bronchialitis, then 2 weeks later, she has a double eye infection and a double ear infection. She has been running fevers so she has of course been miserable. We have 2 specialists. One is infectious disease in DesMoines, near by. The other is in Iowa City, and we only see him every 6 months right now. We don't see him until June. But I was wondering at what point did your doctors decided on IVIG. I understand that getting the treatments is very difficult, but seeing a little baby who is supposed to be lively and playful and happy is also difficult. From hearing some of you talk, I think I would almost rather have her on IVIG. Thanks, , mother of Hannah, 19 months, Hyper IGE syndrome
