when should i see gains, if any, from valtrex?

hello,

my son has been on valtrex for about 3 1/2 weeks now. i saw some

initial regression in the beginning which consisted of poor sleeping,

mood swigs, temper tantrums and trouble transitioning. all of those

problems have since subsided. even after i upped him to his full

dose, he didn't have any regressions.

however, he only had a mild rash around his lower waist area. sort of

where his underwear covered. he had a slight fever maybe the third

day on it. but, i haven't noticed any gains that i can speak of yet.

he may be having a little bit better eye contact. but, as for

everything else, i haven't really noticed much. is this normal? or

are the gains usually immediate?
