Guest guest
This seems like a rather anal technicality, but I noticed some recent talk over " B12 shots " , so bear with me. Dr. Neubrander is a NJ doctor who presented last week at the DAN conference and has been treating with methylcobalamin - a specific type of B12 shots - with very encouraging results. He strongly and repeatedly emphasized the importance for the autism community to call it specifically either methylcobalamin, or methly B12, and NEVER just B12 shots. Apparently the FDA is upset over general " B12 shot " requests (there are other " types " of B12 which are not applicable for this treatment). The agency's concern could ultimately jeopardize the availability of methyl-B12. So please, when you're talking to other parents, doctors, etc., remember, it's methyl-B12 or methylcobalamin.
