Guest guest
Hi Del, I wish i was making some extra cash for this. I run the beer booth at the fair for my local group of Vietnam vets. We do this every year to raise money for our community outreach. We do $10-12,000 in just four days and get to keep about half of that. They have me run the show, because they know I can't drink up the profits...lol I don't mess with those pumps on the kegs. We have the suppliers tap all of the kegs from a refrigerated truck and they use CO2, so minimum foam and no lost profits there. The fair is in the middle of July....nice and hot...so people are thirsty and spend their money. Actually, we all take the class to be able to weed out the kids from buying beer from us. Lots of trouble there if you sell to them. We are pretty good at spotting them as we have been doing the booth for about the last 18 years. Dick Beer Boss At 09:51 PM 5/24/2007, you wrote: Hi Dick. Your a lucky man to have been able to receive this training. It is always good to have something to fall back on when you need extra cash. I hope you don't have the " pump type " kegs... they always get overpumped and spew out foam.. This, I heard from a couple of trained techs such as your self! There is no way I could know that with out the formal education you have. Good Luck at the fair!! It sounds really nice right now.. a county fair... I realize that you have gained experience over the years on judging age, but now it's time , since you've been at it so long, to see how good you really are. See the kid that is 18, and tell him you know he is cause his dad brought him at 1yr.old!! N0w Thats a gift!!! Good for what, I don't know., but you may have it!
