Hello everybody, not much going on here right now so thought I would

check in. Boy it was chilly this morning, 45 out, had to turn on the

heater and its clear and sunny but cool. Sure a change in the

temperature and I kind of hate to see the hot weather go, oh well does

it every year. Oh yes there is some news, the kids and I went on a bike

ride on Saturday morning past the stadium where the first football game

of the year was going to happen a little later. We tend to like to go

bike riding on game days since there is so much activity of the fans

going to the game and all. Its just fun to be a part of it all.

Anyway I was stronger than I thought I'd be, pulling Lucas in that

trailer! Don't see that many 69 year old gray haired grandmas on bikes out

there.

I do believe he will be on his own bike one of these days, just

as the other two did when the time came for them. It was so nice out by

the river after the recent rains we've had, just perfectly beautiful and

I got the kids back to their house and made it home and upstairs about

two minutes before kick off! Talk about perfect timing. And it was a

good game, we, the University of Oregon, beat the New Mexico Lobos 72-0,

I never saw such a thing, almost broke a school record, one more

touchdown and we would have... So at least we didn't fall flat on our

faces, one never knows with a new quarter back. Next week we play

Tennessee, so we shall see if we can maintain...

Yesterday I took the kids to church and it was good, and today plan to

go and pick up Lucas and take him to Supercuts for a trim, and then to

Penney's to get him a few things for school. He starts 1st grade and I

haven't gotten him anything yet. I need to take too, got him some

clothes already but he does need a haircut too, he just puts so much

pressure on me to buy him video games it isn't fun. Sigh...Yesterday we

went to Goodwill after church and got in a fight because he put so much

stuff in the cart I didn't want to buy! I told him to pick one or two

things not get so carried away, but he doesn't seem to be listening.

Well that is it I guess, not doing anything festive just holding the

fort here, would like to do something special but it is such a

production. Kind of feel like I am on duty all the time what with Marty

in his chair playing with his shoe laces. and my 92 year old mom who lives

near us. She fell out of her chair the other night

and called my oldest son Tom and he just happened to be in town so came

by my house and got the key, then to her house and went and picked her

up. She wasn't hurt. Then the next day my son Jeff called her from the

coast where they were staying and she didn't answer her phone he said,

so I had to go over and check on her and found her out in the garage in

her wheelchair. She was ok just forgot to take her phone with her. She's

done that before.

Well that is about it I guess, how are all of you doing today? Hope it

is nice wherever you are and you are getting blessed!

Love,

Carolyn ;o)) OR
