T man has Aspergers, his older brother, 10, will be coming with him. I talk on the phone to T Man, I have stayed with him before, he has been to my house before with his mother. I need to ideas to help me make this a smooth transition for him. He will be here for 3 plus weeks. If you can help me, I would soooo appreciate it! I would also suggest finding out if he has any food preferences/aversions and stocking up your kitchen to accommodate those. My son is very selective and likes only a certain brand of sausage, etc. so it's nice to have familiar foods even if the setting isn't familiar. You will probably find the older brother a great resource for you. My daughter has become a great advocate for my son and will volunteer information to help accommodate him. One thing that also travels with my son is his night light or bedside lamp. I know it may not seem like much but to him it could be the world. Also have him and mommy take a picture of the 2 of them together and make a copy for him to take with him. Hope it helps some.
