Guest guest
Great IEP news! How old is your son? I was really worried about high school too. But I realized that I was picturing him a 13 yr old in high school. It was hard to realize that he would be older when he entered high school and hopefully more mature. Well he was and he made the transition seamlesly. Does that make sense? He is thriving in high school. I'm sure your son will too especially if he's already at a college level. My son doesn't want any adult assistance. He got really upset and blew up yelling at me to "stop spoon feeding him" He's in regular classes and doesn't want to stand out. So we told her to just make sure he gets the concept and then help the rest of the class and not to escort him from class to class. Well I stopped spoon feeding and he's tanking. I have to do everything secretly. He has no idea how much work goes on behind the scenes just for him. How old is your son? what instument does he play? Mine plays guitar. He really has an ear for it. I think I mentioned in another post that he saved a whole bunch of money to buy a Les limited edition. I didn't mind him spending the money because he has a true passion for it. My nephews have a band and after several years have finally gotten a lable. I'll make a proud bragging announcement when their CD comes out. LOL!! Have a great weekend. -Son B 15,ASP Starting 10th grd in Sept I'm all for raising awareness and acceptance and understanding. My Personal Favorite? Guest guest
He’s 13. He likes to play guitar. Although he would also like to play drums. He has a guitar now-he started this back in the sixth grade-he took guitar lessons at school so we went out bought him a new beginners electric guitar. We ended up selling it after awhile because he lost interest however, I took up the guitar, always wanted to play so my husband snuck and bought me a used one just like the one we sold. This is the one he plays now. My son is still learning and I can tell he has another new found interest in it. He has a long way to go. I know what you mean about secret. It gives them a since of independency at the same time watching what happens to make us feel better. I have my cooking all done-relax time!
