Guest guest
I hear everyone talking about how supplements have helped them. I am in NYC where do I find a metabolic doctor and what is the testing needed. What supplements are your kids taking and is it covered by insurance. Love to chat with anyone in NYC. Thanks. Shah New/Vitamins I strongly believe vitamins help my son. We have done extensive testing. Most recently his lactic acid and pyruvic acid were high, he tested positive for pyrroluria, he has high oxalates, high mercury, high triglycerides, he has a high sed rate and c-protein indicating inflammation, and recently tested for very high yeast levels. After a subsequent test after changing vitamins we got his lactic acid and pyruvic acid in the normal range. I can't begin to explain how many of these things are inter-related. This article is good. http://www.kpu-berlin.de/en/Cryptopyrroluria-nitrosative_stress_and_mitochondrial_disease.htm His DAN Dr. swears by B-1. In all my son takes about 14 vitamins in the morning and 9 at night. It's a lot. Testing shows it's working internally. Externally, he has been on yellow in school once in the last six weeks (used to be 1-2 times a week he was on yellow for behavior/not working). He rarely comes home with incomplete work now. He used to complain about knee pain...now gone. I'm not trying to "cure" him, I want him to be healthy and happy. We're currently drastically reducing sugar intake and next up is the yeast treatment.
