I have posted two pictures of Pat Iurato and me in the Photos

It's for the back of your name tag...3x3 let's see, does it really matter

if it is horizontal or vertical...hahaha

Pictures

I am trying to pull all of my stuff together for Friday's big trip and

remembered someone said something about bringing a before picture. I

believe they asked for one that was 3x3. Is it supposed to be horizontal or

vertical?

ok, Sheri ...

how, I realize that is probably the worst possible scenario .... how on earth

does a child get cp THAT bad????

We had a little guy at the peds office in Ohio, that got a 2ndary staph

infection all around his mouth .... he looked nearly that badly in the face ....

but he recouped fine .... no scars ....

I can imagine those are the pictures that they are showing the really young

mom's out there. By the time my kids are grown, they'll think chicken pox

caused the same amount of deaths as the black plague (ok, I know NOTHING about

the black plague, but it sounds bad lol)

ok, eeewwwwww I should have waited tos end the other one ....

Having never seen smallpox before .... YUCK .... those pictures would almost

make me run out and get a vax for it (if they had one, which thankfully they do

not LOL)

How true it is. Every time I look at a dandelion, I think about how much

So funny you should mention that you've been thinking of going

darker. I've been thinking of going lighter, it might hide the gray

hair better!! My mom just gave me a few pictures tonight from my

brother's surprise party last month, so I just added them to the

Plagio Parents section. I know what you mean about hating looking at

pictures of yourself, I totally pick myself apart I get so

disgusted. I think you are so perdy!!!

Its funny how much Olivia looks like Guy, and Dane looks like you.

You need to have another baby to break the tie!!

I would like for someone to take a look at some of these pictures of my son Will and let me know if I need to start pushing my ped for more than just physical therapy. Ashely,

My son tiernan is five and a hlaf months old and he's got the same head shape thing going on... notice on will, he's a cutie pie, but he does have the ear alignment issues like most plagio babies do... push push push that pediatrician for a referral to a craniofacial clinic! MUSC has a great one in charleston, but it's only on the third tuesday of every month so if you want an appointment your doc needs to get on the ball and get you an appointment set up for little will! what a cutie pie! and it's so early for him, you're very lucky to have noticed and started to take action so soon!!! good luck and if you need anything about the clinic let me know, i'd be happy to help you out!

Will is so adorable! At 9 1/2 weeks you could get great results just

by repositioning alone. Total eliminate the need for a band. His head

doesn't look bad to me at all. Here is a web site that is all about

repositioning. A mom put it together for repoing moms. Her son is a

repositioning success. She tells you how she did it along with photos

of his progress.

http://www.geocities.com/alittleone2000/plagiopage.htm

Good luck and please keep us posted.

Will is adorable! What a cutie you have there!! I agree with

that he is still at such a great age to reap the benefits of

repositioning, and you'll hopefully be able to avoid a helmet/band

altogether!

Good luck with it all, and please keep us posted!

Since he is so young and his case looks mild, you probably can get

some great natural correction from repositioning.

Here is a link for some tips

http://www.plagiocephaly.org/support/repotech.htm

I would suggest taking weekly pictures of him of different angles of

his head to monitor his progress.

Sending rounding vibes your way!

I see you've already gotten good replies regarding repositioning and

I will agree with their opinions and advice.

But you may also ask your pediatrician for a referral to a specialist

in your area to schedule an appt with them for an evaluation and

opinion. Often, specialists take several wks to get in for an appt -

it won't hurt any to have him evaluated by a ped. neurosurgeon or a

craniofacial specialist.

Good luck with repositioning, keep us posted on Will's progress.

He's adorable! I love his dark hair.

What a sweetheart! I think he looks very mild with the tort- YEAH! I couldn't really tell with the plagio, but I would think at such a young age and the tort being mild, if you really work on those stretches and repositioning aggresively now, you could avoid the helmet and be done with pt before you know it! Ashely,

Will is a beautiful baby! You have caught the problem so early

that I would imagine between PT and repositioning you could

achieve all the correction you need. It is hard to tell from photos,

but he looks pretty mild to me. He doesn't appear to have any

facial assymetry.

Thanks for sharing the photos. He really is adorable.

Hi Shauna

My parents have a scanner and I've tried several times to post photos but have

been unsuccessful. I am hoping to have a computer someday soon in my apartment

and would love to participate but for now I am unable to... I don't have access

to a scanner at work either which is where I read all my email from for now. I

hope everyone is having an awesome day!!!

Hugs,

Kim
