Guest guest
“Obese” is in my medical file too & that was before I was at my highest of 217 @ 5’4”. Where exactly is the medical line between “overweight” and “obese”? Proud to say I’m still down 40 lbs. Need to kick it back in gear again and lose more though because my pre-diabetes sugar numbers are getting worse in spite of the weight loss. I blame the interferon. They put me back on Lipitor also (PCP and liver doc agree as long as they check my LFTs regularly). And I’m on Nexium now, too for GERD and probably have to have an endoscopy next month. I need to boycott doctors, I’ve had a new diagnosis every time I’ve been for the last 3+ years. I know you predisone for a month or so, but does it always make you obese? I was just wondering, it seems a shame to get a life saving transplant just to get another problem, can you lose weight if you try? I was just wondering, I have always been consious of my weight. That when I started retaining fluid I did not understand why I was getting bigger before I wear my clothes. I am on the med to remove the fluid and able to wear my close I got last year. I was just wondering. hugs, Glenda

Guest guest
Hi De, I think that's my problem - too many doctors. Every time I see a new one I get a new dx for a new disease I have GOT to stay away from doctors.I'm on Nexium too, if they put me on one more I'll have to buy a new pill box. Guest guest
This link goes to a place that has a BMI calculator. Not only that it goes into detail about the different types of surgery. It is a good source of info for someone looking into weightloss surgery. Which I was. I am Not just a few pounds over weight. I am VERY OVERWEIGHT... VERY obese. I have been over weight all my life no matter what I have done. The only way I lost ant weight was a wild life that is not an option. I worked 16 hrs a day 5 days a week. 8 hrs the 2 days a week. I partied at least 6 hrs a day. I lost 100 lbs in less than 2 months. gained it all back plus more. http://www.obesityhelp.com/myoh/ love d From: Motley dmotleybellsouth (DOT) netSubject: RE: Re: Obese “Obese” is in my medical file too & that was before I was at my highest of 217 @ 5’4”.
